Hours After Meeting Tinubu, Shettima, APC NWC Set To Meet Their Wives
A meeting has been scheduled by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) to meet with the wives of its presidential and vice presidential candidates.
Naija News gathered the wife of the APC flagbearer, Senator Remi Tinubu and that of the vice presidential candidate, Hajiya Nana Shettima are billed to meet with the APC leaders on Thursday, September 8 by 3.00pm.
The meeting slated for the party’s secretariat in Abuja will among other things, discuss and fine-tune campaign strategy for the women’s wing of the party.
The meeting is coming barely twenty-four hours after the APC NWC members met with the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
What Tinubu Told APC NWC During Their Meeting
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, met with members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Naija News reports the meeting between Tinubu and the party leaders took place at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
The meeting also had in attendance, former Borno State Governor and APC vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
The meeting among other things, discussed party strategies and plans to win the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the country, our correspondent gathered.
It’s A Family Thing
The former Lagos Governor described the meeting as a family affair, assuring that APC is the right party to lead Nigerians to prosperity.
He said; “I can’t pick you up individually but I say welcome because it’s a family thing for all of us and we are facing a very crucial election and this election is going to decide and navigate the way forward for our country between progressives and the conservative thinkers. Between ideas and actual execution of actions that will lead Nigeria to a realizable hope and prosperity.”
Medal Of Honour Awaits Us
The APC presidential candidate assured the NWC members that every stakeholder is already working to ensure the party’s success during the 2023 elections, adding that he is sure with the dedication and commitment of everyone, the party will be successful at the polls.
“I assure you, we’ve started working, we’ve started thinking, harnessing our brain and together, the party and the candidates working in various capacities with commitment and dedication, we will all wear the medal of honour,” he added.
