“I Was In Prison This Time Last Year” – Tems Reveals
Talented female Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted her experience this time last year.
The fast-rising singer in a post on her Twitter account disclosed that she was in Ugandan prison in 2020.
According to Tems, this time last year, she was sitting in prison in Uganda with some women and kids, whom she bonded with.
Tems stated that she can’t believe how things have changed when she thought of her experience in 2020.
The 26-year-old singer took out time to appreciate God for his awesomeness, adding that he will always have the last and final laugh.
Recall that Tems was arrested alongside Omah Lay and charged to court in Uganda last year, for reportedly violating Covid-19 guidelines and protocol, when the duo honoured an invitation to perform in the country.
They were, however, released after the intervention of the Nigerian Government in the charges levelled against them
Tems in her post wrote, “This very day Last Year, I was sitting in prison in Uganda bonding with women and kids.
“I almost can’t believe the things I’ve seen so far.
“All I can say is God is too awesome and He will always have the last and final laugh”
