Investors Pocket ₦10bn At The End Of Tuesday Trading

The Nigeria capital market on Tuesday yielded 0.02 per cent increase at the end of business.

After eight hours of trading, there was a rise in equity capitalisation by ₦10 billion from ₦25.45 trillion to ₦25.46 trillion.

Compared to 47,233.91 achieved on Monday, All-Share Index was up by 12.99 basis points to close at 47, 246.9.

Investors in the capital market on Tuesday traded 421.82 million shares worth 5.15 billion in 4,601 deals.

The Tuesday trading surpassed the 421.45 million shares valued at ₦4.22 billion that exchanged hands in 5,961 deals the previous day.

The gainers’ chart was led by Niger Insurance following a 10 percent rise in share price to move from ₦0.20kobo per share to ₦0.22kobo

Learn Africa gained ₦0.22kobo to end trading with ₦2.42kobo from ₦2.20kobo per share.

SCOA share was up by ₦0.23kobo to move from ₦2.35kobo to ₦2.58kobo per share.

Cutix share price increased by ₦0.25kobo to move from ₦2.59kobo to ₦2.84kobo per share

May & Baker gained ₦0.44kobo to end trading with ₦5 from ₦4.56kobo per share.

Ellah Lakes led the losers chart after shedding ₦0.42kobo to drop from ₦4.25kobo to ₦3.83kobo per share.

Veritas Kapital’s share depreciated from ₦0.25kobo to ₦0.23kobo per share after losing 8 percent during trading.

Courtville’s share dropped by 5.56 percent to end trading at ₦0.51kobo from ₦0.54kobo per share.

Guinness lost ₦3.95kobo to end the day’s business with ₦70.05 from ₦74 per share.

Neimeth completed the list after shedding 4.76 percent from its market price to drop from ₦1.89kobo to ₦1.80kobo per share.

The day trading ended with United Capital leading with 66.09 million shares worth ₦889.15 million.

Transcorp traded 53.53 million valued at ₦66.28 million.

Zenith Bank followed with 51.63 million shares valued at ₦1.39 billion.

Fidelity Bank sold 44.37 million shares worth ₦137.73 million, while Access Bank traded 26.77 million valued at ₦277.97 million.
