Kwara Gov, Abdulrazaq Gives Fresh Appointment To Igbo, Fulani
Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has made fresh appointments to his cabinet.
A statement released on Tuesday showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) governor gave appointments to an Igbo man, Chukwugozie Igwebuike, and Mohammed Abdullahi, a Fulani.
The duo were appointed as Special Assistants on Inter-community relations in their respective native tribes.
The statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, confirmed also the appointment of a journalist, Abdulateef Kolawole, as Special Assistant on Communication.
The statement reads: “Kwara State governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has approved the appointment of three new Special Assistants, including two on inter-community relations, deepening inclusion across various demographics of the state.
“While Chukwugozie Angus Igwebuike is named the Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-community Relations (Igbo), Muhammed Abdullahi has been appointed as Special Assistant on Inter-community Relations (Fulani).”
Governor Abdulrazaq noted that the appointees deserved the positions having lived in Kwara State for many years.
“The Governor, meanwhile, has appointed a budding journalist, youth development advocate, and communications professional Ibraheem Abdullateef Kolawole as Special Assistant on Communication.
“27-year-old Abdullateef, famously called Egghead for his vibrancy and brilliance, is currently a member of the Nigerian Youth Parliament where he represents Kwara Central Senatorial District. He is the founder of Raise, a platform he coordinates with other Young Turks to groom young people to be self-reliant and forward-looking,” the statement added.
