2023 Presidency: Amaechi Woos Ogun State Delegates, Tells Them To Dump Osinbajo And Vote For Him
Ahead of the presidential primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has appealed to delegates from Ogun State to support him.
Amaechi who made the appeal on Monday during a visit to the state where he was hosted by Governor Dapo Abiodun pointed out that he is aware the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who is also a presidential aspirant of the APC is from Ogun, but urged the people of the state to choose him ahead of Osinbajo.
The Minister said though Osinbajo is a great man and aspirant, he has better experience than the Vice President.
2023: Sowore Knocks Adebanjo Over Call For South East Presidency
Human rights activist and presidential hopeful, Omoyele Sowore has slammed Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo for his support for South East presidency.
The publisher of Sahara Reporters also rejected Adebanjo’s call for presidential aspirants from the South West and South South to shelve their presidential ambitions.
Recall that the Afenifere leader had stated that it is the turn of the South East to produce the next Nigerian president, in the spirit of fairness and justice.
2023: Jonathan Seeking Support Of People Who Brought Him Down – Yeni Kuti
Omoyeni Anikulapo-Kuti, the daughter of popular Afro Beat legend, Fela Kuti on Tuesday stated that former President Goodluck Jonathan is now seeking support from people who worked against him in 2015.
Jonathan had lost to President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress after some governors and chieftains in the Peoples Democratic Party reportedly worked against him.
2023: Only One Thing Can Make Me Reconsider Presidential Ambition – Orji Kalu
The Senate Chief Whip and presidential hopeful, Orji Uzor Kalu, has revealed that only zoning can make him reconsider his 2023 presidential ambition.
Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State, made this known in a statement entitled, “2023 Presidency: The Fairness I Know,” released on Tuesday.
He promised to step down from the presidential race and return to the Senate in 2023 if the All Progressives Congress (APC) failed to zone its presidential ticket to the South-East.
2023: David Mark Heads PDP Presidential Screening Committee
The Peoples Democratic Party has named former Senate President, David Mark as the Chairman of its presidential screening committee.
The National Organising Secretary of the party, Umar Bature announced the appointment of the nine-member committee in a statement released on Tuesday.
2023: APC Commences Sale Of Nomination Forms
The ruling All Progressives Congress will commence the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for political offices today (Tuesday).
APC had planned to commence the sale of forms last Saturday but was hindered by the inability of the contractor to deliver the forms.
2023 Presidency: Goodluck Jonathan Allowed Himself To Be Disgraced – Afenifere Leader, Pa Adebanjo
The leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo has hit out at former President Goodluck Jonathan over his position on contesting the 2023 presidency.
Adebanjo said the fact that Jonathan even told his supporters to watch out for a possible declaration is a disgrace.
He spoke against the backdrop of last week’s declaration by Jonathan to supporters who stormed his Abuja office urging him to declare for the 2023 presidency that the political process is ongoing, and urged them to just watch as things unfold.
