Matawalle Begs Northerners To Ignore Divisive Forces, Says Tinubu’s Policies Not Against Them
The former Governor of Zamfara State and Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle, has urged Northerners to ignore those trying to oppose the country’s unity.
He argued that none of President Bola Tinubu’s policies are against northern interests.
The minister stated this while addressing his teeming supporters in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, during his six-day visit to the state.
He assured Nigerians that their current economic challenges would soon be over, as the federal government is making serious efforts to reposition the country’s economy.
Matawalle promises that the federal government’s economic policies will eventually yield beneficial results, adding that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
The Zamfara State’s immediate past governor noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration inherited several problems.
He disclosed that the federal government had already brought in many trailers of rice to Zamfara State for distribution to citizens as part of welfare efforts, adding that the trailers of rice are already in Gusau, the state capital.
He urged Nigerians to continue fervent prayers for divine intervention, emphasizing that their prayers could help reposition the country.
“The federal government is not happy with the current economic hardships facing Nigerians. We are working tirelessly to address the situation,” he added.
