Mercy Eke Reacts To Accusation Of Selling ‘Poverty Story’ To Win BBNaija
Winner of the Big Brother Naija ‘Pepper Dem’ Edition, Mercy Eke has reacted to the accusation of selling poverty stories to gain sympathy votes during the reality TV show.
This comes after the reality TV show announced that the Season 7 auditions of the show are officially opened for everyone yearning for fame.
The post reads: “Biggie is calling you back home #BBNaija Season 7 auditions are officially open, are you the next Efe, Miracle, Mercy, Laycon or Whitemoney? This is your time to show Biggie what you’re all about audition here”.
Reacting to the post, a Twitter user with the handle Mobolaji Jenifa called out Mercy Eke saying she sold the story of selling corn and fuel along the roadside to win the show.
Responding to the critic, Mercy Eke who seemed not ashamed of her humble beginning admitted that she sold fuel and corn but it doesn’t make her poor.
See the conversation below:
Mobolaji Jenifa wrote: “Mercy Eke said she sold fuel and corn by the road though so she follow”.
Mercy Eke wrote: “Shut up… Yes I sold corn and fuel does that make me poor> Humble beginnings”.
Recall that Mercy Eke was one of the entertaining housemates during the show, from her controversial lifestyle to fight with Tacha.
On selling a poverty story to win the show, Mercy Eke literally stole the show with her ‘Rich Aunty Vibes’ in her game and never repeated any clothes throughout the show.
