Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Omokri Throws Fresh Shade At APC, Buhari Govt

Former presidential aide and social commentator, Reno Omokri has tackled the All Progressives Congress (APC) over its decision to field a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential elections.

It will be recalled that the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday in Daura, Katsina State, announced the choice of former Borno State Governor, Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

The announcement effectively confirmed the decision by the ruling party to field a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential race despite a good section of Nigerians rejecting the idea.

It has also attracted a barrage of reactions from Nigerians both on social media and off social media.

Taking to the micro-blogging, Twitter on Monday, Omokri decried the situation in which the President of Nigeria is a Muslim, the Senate President is a Muslim, the Speaker of the House is a Muslim and the Chief Justice of the country is a Muslim.

Noting further, he decried the situation where the two APC candidates for the 2023 presidential elections are Muslims.
