Nigeria Committed To Supporting Peace In Africa – Tinubu (Photos)
President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, said Nigeria is committed to supporting peace and democracy in Africa and the World.
The Nigerian leader stated this while speaking at the 50th Independence Anniversary Ceremony and Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Guinea Bissau.
Tinubu, who was in the West African country at the request of President Umaro Embaló, joined other African and World leaders in Guinea Bissau to celebrate the occasion.
Guinea-Bissau marked its 50th Independence Anniversary on September 24, 2023, but the government had scheduled all celebrations for November 16, 2023.
Before his trip to Guinea-Bissau, Tinubu was in Saudi Arabia, where he performed lesser hajj (Umrah).
While in Saudi Arabia, to attract foreign direct investment and mobilise capital to build needed infrastructure, Tinubu signed preliminary agreements on energy-related cooperation.
He also secured a multi-billion dollar infrastructure finance facility from the Islamic Development Bank to fund a multi-sectoral portfolio of infrastructure projects at Nigeria’s federal and sub-national levels.
Here are some photos from the event.
