Nigeria Vs Libya: Victor Ikpeba Makes His Prediction, Super Eagles Begin Training

Former Nigerian international, Victor Ikpeba is optimistic about the Super Eagles’ chances in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will first take on Libya at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. The kick-off time is 5 p.m. on Friday, October 11.

After the clash in Uyo, the Super Eagles will fly to Libya for the return leg in Benina at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15.

Augustine Eguavoen’s squad is in high spirits after collecting four points from their initial two qualifiers, which placed them at the top of Group D. While Libya are sitting at the bottom of the group.

Ahead of the meeting between the two countries, Ikpeba expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ ability to secure victories in both matches, acknowledging Libya’s defensive approach and reliance on counterattacks.

“The Super Eagles have what it takes to punish Libya in both legs,” Ikpeba said on the Supersport TV programme Monday Night Football.

“You have to respect Libya; they will come down to defend their lives and rely on counterattacks.

“They may be missing some key players, but we shouldn’t bother ourselves with what is going on with them.”

Note that the Super Eagles will commence their training session today at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

The training session is open to the public and media according to a statement from the NFF media team.
