Nigerians React As Desmond Elliot Wins APC Ticket Unopposed For A Third Term

The victory of Nollywood actor cum politician Desmond Elliot to represent Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, for a third term has sparked reactions online.

Desmond Elliot polled 30 votes as the sole contestant for the ticket in the primary election which took place on Friday at Akerele Primary Health Centre, Surulere, amid tight security provided by the police and other agencies.

For someone who had been consistently criticized on social media, it is surprising that Desmond Elliot got the APC ticket unopposed.

This has generated reactions online as many Nigerians frowned at the win of Desmond Elliot stating the youths are sleeping on social media instead of taking their position in the society.
