Nigerians React To ‘Ekwueme’ Singer, Osinachi’s Death

Nigerians have reacted to the death of popular Igbo Gospel artiste, Evangelist Osinachi Nwachukwu, who died on Friday, 8th April 2022.

Naija News earlier reported that the singer and mother of four reportedly died of throat cancer.

The Imo State-born gospel singer died aged 42.

Honouring her memory, Nigerians took to various social media platforms to share how her songs, especially, ‘Ekwueme’ impacted them.

One Chidi Godwin, said “So sad to hear that the woman who sang Ekwueme,
Osinachi Nwachukwu is dead. I gave my life to Christ after seven times of hearing that song 😞”

Aji Bussu said, “Mrs Osinachi Nwachukwu gave us one of the most powerful Igbo gospel songs in history. Rest in peace, nwanyị ọma. ❤️”

One gmarrus007 wrote; ‘Sighs! This is heartbreaking 💔 and heartwrenching. May her repose soul continue to rest in perfect peace.’

One Lanihun, mourning the late singer said, ‘I’m a Yoruba lady, but this is the first Igbo song I had so much passion to learn and want to know word for word. This worship awakens my spirit everytime I listen to it, though I don’t understand the lyrics. Rip Osinachi Nwachukwu.”

One yahweh_royalty wrote; ‘This song always gets me in the spirit. She has fulfilled her purpose and that’s a gain for us believers. May her soul rest in perfect peace’

The Gospel singer who shot to limelight after the release of “Ekwueme” reportedly passed on  in an Abuja hospital.

Osinachi Nwachukwu, a composer, servant of God and producer of Christian worship music, was also popular for hit song ‘Nara Ekele’ in which she was featured by Dunamis founder, Pastor Paul Enenche.
