Nollywood Stars React To Bamise’s Death

Nollywood stars Toyin Abraham, Yul Edochie, and others have reacted to the death of 22-year-old fashion designer, Oluwabamise Ayanwola, who was found dead  after boarding a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit BRT vehicle.

It would be recalled that the 22-year-old fashion designer, was found dead after she was declared missing on the 5th March 2022.

A relative of the deceased announced the sad news, revealing they confirmed her corpse at the morgue on  Monday, March 7, 2022.

Hours after Bamise’s death was announced, Department of State Services, DSS, arrested the driver, Andrew,  who denied being responsible for the death of the 22-year-old tailor.

Reacting to the news, Yul Edochie commiserate with the family of the late fashion designer, while lamenting the poor security system in the country.

He wrote; “This is really sad. Such a young promising life cut short. To think that someone can be killed now in a Government owned transport service. Really sad.May her soul rest in peace and may God grant her family the strength to bear this heartbreaking loss.”

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham expressed sadness, while lamenting the poor security state of the country.

She went further to note that BRT is now considered a dangerous place for all.

Abraham also questioned the Lagos state government on why CCTV cameras were not installed in the buses.

She wrote; “It is sad enough that Nigeria is not safe, but to think that a place or thing considered as property like BRT is now considered a dangerous place should all get all of us concerned. But I have few questions for Lagos State Government, why are the BRT buses not fitted with CCTV cameras? What measure have you put in place since this incident that made you assure Lagosians that the BRT buses are now safe?”

Are we truly safe or your speech is just government rhetoric, telling us what we want to hear? Lagosians, please be careful, we cannot move about like everything is okay. Things are not okay if we are not safe inside government buses.”

“And to the family of Ayanwole Oluwabamise I sympathize with you. Some of us will reach out to see how you can go through this phase with some measure of ease-no easy way in grieve. May God truly console you. This is such a sad incident!”

Actress, Kate Henshaw outrightly condemned the driver, adding that Bamise’s case wasn’t his first.

Kate Henshaw wrote; “I can bet its not his first time too also using the bus as his vehicle to commit murderous crimes!!”
