Rivers United Vs Heartland Gets New Kick-Off Time

The NPFL has changed the kick-off time for the match between Rivers United and Heartland for matchday two.

The game, initially set for a 4 p.m. kick-off on Sunday, September 15 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, has been rescheduled to kick-off at 3:00 pm.

This change was confirmed by Rivers United and is aimed at accommodating the live broadcast of the match.

Bayelsa United Get New Chairman

Tarilaye Nwankwe is the newly appointed chairman of NPFL side Bayelsa United, taking over from Ebiki Timitimi.

Nwankwe, a former player and captain of Bayelsa United, also served as the chairman of Bayelsa Queens.

Bayelsa United will seek to bounce back from their opening match defeat by facing Kano Pillars in the next league fixture.

NPFL Rearranged Games:

The NPFL has rearranged the matchday two games involving Rangers and Enyimba.

Rangers are now slated to play Ikorodu City on Wednesday, September 25, while Enyimba’s match against Lobi Stars has been rescheduled to the said date.

This change was necessitated by the teams’ engagements in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

Note that Rangers will face Angolan side Sagrada Esperenca and Enyimba will take on Etoile Filante de Ouagadougou in Mali.
