Only PDP Has The Capability To Bring APC Down In Lagos, Southwest – Okowa
Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has said that only the party has the capability to beat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming election.
The Delta state governor said this at the PDP Southeast zonal stakeholders’ meeting in Enugu on Tuesday.
Okowa insisted that the PDP has what it takes to win the presidency in all the six geo-political zones.
He argued that the party is getting stronger in the Northwest and Northeast.
He said, “In the North-Central and the South-South, we have become strong; and PDP is in charge in the Southeast.
“We saw what happened in Osun. We are in charge of Oyo and Ondo States.
“A lot is happening in Ogun and Ekiti and even in Lagos State, PDP is going to compete favourably.”
He assured Nigerians that the PDP flag bearer Atiku Abubakar has the solution to the problems plaguing the country.
He added that the presence of other parties would be felt in a few places during the polls.
Court Cancels All Ogun State Primaries
The 2023 primary elections held by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State have been nullified in their entirety.
This is as Justice O.O Oguntoyinbo of the Federal High court sitting in Abeokuta, the state capital on Tuesday, ordered a fresh rerun of primaries by the PDP within 14 days
The court order nullifies the governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and the House of Assembly primaries conducted by the party.
