Osimhen’s Eye Socket Was Damaged – Surgeon

The surgeon of Nigerian International, Victor Osimhen, Gianpaolo Tartaro, has shed more light on the face injury of the attacker during Serie A match against Inter Milan last weekend.

The Napoli forward after colliding heads with Inter Milan’s Skriniar was forced out during their 3-2 defeat to Inter Milan.

According to a statement released by Napoli, Osimhen will have surgery and will be out for at least three months.

Tartaro while giving update on the injury said Osimhen’s eye came out of the socket because of the destruction of the malar bone.

He further stated that Osihmen should not play in the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Cameroon because he has to go through another surgery.

The Nigerian International fractured a cheekbone and eye socket as a result of the clash with Inter defender Milan Skriniar.

Tartaro in an interview with Il Corriere dello Sport, said “The eye came out of its socket. It is not simple at all, in fact, it is very delicate due to the crushing of the socket, due to the curving of the malar bone [which is] practically destroyed.

“We have to now look at a special mask for his case.”

Recall that the Surgeon who operated on Victor Osimhen, said that the damage on the player’s face was critical.

Gianpaolo Tartaro, who boasted that the Napoli striker will recover well, said he had used no fewer than eighteen screws and six plaques on the player.
