Prices Of Foodstuff In Nigeria 2022 – Latest Market Update

Again, Naija News welcome you to this week’s episode on Prices Of Foodstuff In Nigeria 2022.

More markets are closing down in some parts of the North
Prices of foodstuff are affected daily as traders could no longer travel freely for fear of attack
Cost of transportation is making things even worst

Naija News can confidently say that market day is no longer what it used to be like in the Northern part of Nigeria.

Activities of bandit terrorists as we have noted in our previous report is drastically affecting trading in most parts of the region.

This week, at our target market, only a few traders were sighted on the ground ready for transactions, though with fear still.

Many markets have remained shut down and a few of them that are operative records low patronage as a result of insecurity.

In Niger State where our target market is located, Boko Haram terrorists have made the villages their place of abode and hence became a threat to local traders.

Recently a bomb explosion was reported in Galadim Koro, in the Shiroro Local Government Area of the State.

The inability of locals to transport goods to the major markets is drastically affecting prices of foodstuff in the region, Naija News understands.

Another disturbing factor that is observed to be affecting trades in the area is the cost of transportation, resulting from the recent fuel scarcity across the country.

A practical example of scantiness witnessed in major markets in the area is seen in the images below.
