Scott Carson told ‘go to sleep’ by fans after bizarre 6am tweet following Man City’s Treble bus parade

FANS were telling Scott Carson to “go to sleep” after a hilariously bizarre 6am tweet following Manchester City’s Treble parade party.

City’s stars went from Istanbul to Manchester to Ibiza and back to Manchester in the space of 48 hours since Pep Guardiola’s men beat Inter Milan to win the Champions League.

They then took to the streets of the city last night for a bus parade in front of thousands of supporters to show off the trophy alongside their Premier League and FA Cup crowns.

The parade had been delayed by an hour due to torrential rain and lightning.

But that did not dampen the mood of the players, staff or crowd as they soaked in achieving a historic Treble.

Team-mate Jack Grealish stole the show as he admitted that he had not slept since the win over Inter.

He guzzled Champagne in front of adoring fans, played blaring music from a set of speakers and sung a song in honour of Bernardo Silva – who he also jokingly said looks “homeless” – and revved up the crowd while wearing a high-vis jacket.

And once he eventually made his way onto the stage following the open-top bus parade, he did not let people down during an interview with Natalie Pike.

He said: “Basically, for the past 24 hours I’ve had the best day and night… to be fair, I don’t think I’ve slept.”

Grealish’s hilarious admission comes after his flyby trip to Ibiza – with the ex-Aston Villa man jetting into England just in time for the parade.

However, now it seems that back-up goalie Carson has followed in his footsteps by pulling an all-nighter.

Around 6am this morning, the former England international shared a tweet about himself from Cleator Moor Celtic congratulating congratulating him on his Treble success.

However, 37-year-old Carson shared it along with a bizarre, and perhaps boozy, response that claimed he had sold a motor to West Ham winger Lucas Paqueta.

He hilariously wrote: “Ivesold my car to Lukas Paqueta.”

Fans appeared to be convinced that the much-loved stopper was still awake from last night’s celebration party and maybe a little worse for wear.

“Go sleep,” joked one supporter.

Another replied: “The GOAT never sleeps.”

A fellow City fan tweeted: “What a hero.”

While most of the other responses were full of the crying with laughter emoji.

Carson has now gone hand in glove with Champions League great Paolo Maldini.

Even though the No 3 didn’t even get his fingers on the ball.

City’s victory over Inter Milan saw Carson bridge an 18-year gap to lift his second winners’ medal – just like Maldini did between his first and fifth triumphs in the competition.

He has worn the City shirt just twice since his arrival in 2019 — and on one of those occasions for only 17 minutes.

But after being named among the substitutes for the final he adds a second gong to the one he won with Liverpool in 2005 — while also sitting on the bench.

In the same Ataturk Olympic stadium that staged City’s clash with Inter, he was back–up to Jerzy Dudek as Steven Gerrard inspired Liverpool’s Miracle of Istanbul.

This was the tweet that had fans in stitches
