Shehu Sani Reacts As Adeboye Denies Endorsing Tinubu, Others
Former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to a statement issued by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) that its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has not endorsed any presidential candidate.
Naija News earlier reported that the church had said that Adeboye did not meet with the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, for any political support.
In a statement on Tuesday, the RCCG also refuted claims that the popular cleric and the church endorsed Tinubu or any presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.
Reacting, Sani, in a Twitter post on Tuesday, wondered if Adeboye would be praying for any candidate who comes to seek his blessing after he made it clear that he will not endorse any candidate.
He wrote: “Pastor Adeboye has made it clear that he will not endorse any candidate. I don’t know if it includes praying for any candidate who comes to seek his blessing.“

Meanwhile, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has said that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, cannot transform the country.
Adegboruwa, in an opinion piece on Tuesday, stated that the former Governor of Anambra State is not the new face of any transformation agenda for the country.
The senior lawyer accused Obi of being part of the problems facing the Nigerian youths, stating that the former governor is not the solution to the nation’s leadership crisis.
Adegboruwa added that Obi is leveraging the anger, frustration, and apathy of Nigerian youths to project himself as a friend of the masses.
According to the lawyer, the LP Presidential candidate would end up worse than President Muhammadu Buhari with Nigeria’s current structure.
