“There Are Some Things He Has To Improve” – Ten Hag Tells United Player
Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag has advised Argentine winger, Alejandro Garnacho to keep up the good work.
Naija News reports that the starlet had a fantastic cameo in their Carabao cup tie against Aston Villa on Thursday night, in which he made an impressive impact in the 4-2 victory against the opponents.
The Dutch manager has rolled out his impression from the game about the wonderkid if he wants to make it into his starting lineup.
At Old Trafford, Garnacho came off the bench shortly after Diogo Dalot’s own goal had given Villa their second lead of the game.
However, after Marcus Rashford had drawn the visitors even, Garnacho provided two assists as Bruno Fernandes gave the visitors the lead before Scott McTominay put the game away late.
Every time he touched the ball, the 18-year-old Argentine had the Old Trafford fans on the edge of their seats.
Naija News recalls that the youngster scored his first senior goal for the Dutch manager and the club last week against Real Sociedad, and he reminisced about his act of missing the preseason tour, hence, the manager once more called attention to his attitude.
“It was good that he came on and showed that performance and had that impact in the game, to be able to assist, make the dribbles and run behind,” said the Dutchman.
“There are some things he has to improve, for instance when we go long to go for the second balls. He still has things to learn but quite obviously we are happy with his development and he can contribute to the team.
‘It depends on his approach, his attitude. When he keeps working then yes, it is possible (for him to play more). He wants to improve every day. He has to do the right things in his lifestyle. He has the capability.” Ten Hag said.
