They Destroyed Ekiti With Paper Money – Sowore Slams Fayemi, APC Over Gubernatorial Election

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC monetized the just concluded Ekiti gubernatorial election.

Recall that Naija News earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Abiodun Oyebanji as the winner of the governorship election in Ekiti State.

Oyebanji who won 15 out of the 16 Local Government Areas of the state gathered 187,057 votes.

Reacting to Oyebanji’s win via Twitter, Sowore alleged that the election was manipulated by the APC.

He accused the outgoing governor of the state, Kayode Fayemi, and other members of the ruling party of destroying democracy in the country.

He wrote: “In Ekiti the, the APC monetised the governorship election to the point that those that stayed away from their (s)election playing street soccer probably felt they are the only ones who took the right decision. It’s a shame!

“Governor Kayode Fayemi of the APC made his name as a “pro-democracy” activist, by yesterday he and other members of his party destroyed Democracy with paper money!”
