It will be recalled about two weeks ago, Tinubu departed Nigeria for France. The former Lagos State Governor departed for Paris, the French capital on Monday, June 27 via the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
According to a statement released by his media office, the APC presidential candidate will hold some important political meetings while in Paris.
Though the details of his engagements and meetings in France were not made public, one major one that hit the media is the ‘endorsement’ by Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola of the APC candidate’s presidential ambition.
The two of them met in France and Otedola prayed that Tinubu will succeed in his quest to emerge the next President of Nigeria in 2023.
Meanwhile, the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje on Friday claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may be fielding a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential race.
According to Ganduje, the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has been advised to pick a Muslim running mate and he has agreed.
The Kano State Governor made the disclosure while hosting about 100 Islamic clerics at the Kano state government house as part of activities to mark this year’s Eid El Kabir.
