Transfer: ‘We Are In Talks’ – Bayern Munich Speaks On Ronaldo’s Deal
Bayern Munich has admitted their interest in getting Manchester United star player, Cristiano Ronaldo to sign for the club.
Naija News understands that Ronaldo’s chances of playing for the Red Devils this summer are slim. This is as the Portuguese international has informed the English Premier League side of his desire to quit Old Trafford in search of Champions League football.
Bayern has been identified as one among many clubs that can afford the 37-year-old if he indeed moves this summer.
Speaking on the possibility of signing the multiple Ballon d’Or award winner, Bayern Munich CEO, Oliver Kahn said with the transfer window still very much open, anything can happen.
Naija News understands that Kahn has severally played down Munich and Ronaldo deal, distancing his team from bringing in the Red Devils legend.
However, on Wednesday, as Bayern officially unveiled its latest signing Matthijs de Ligt, Khan, while introducing De Ligt to the press, responded to the press about the other business his recruitment team were pursuing.
“We have been fast on the market this summer. It is very exciting. You are asking about Ronaldo right [laughs in denial]. The window is still open for some time and we are in talks with several players and things can still happen,” Kahn said.
