England were held to a stalemate by Slovenia on Tuesday but still managed to claim top spot in Group C.

That was after they initially struggled to a 1-0 win over Serbia before last week’s dour 1-1 draw with Denmark.

Despite the underwhelming displays, Gareth Southgate’s men now have a potential route to the final that avoids big guns Spain, Germany, Portugal and France.

And excitement is mounting ahead of the first knockout showdown with Slovakia.

As the hordes of supporters descend on the city in western Germany, ESPN Argentina were keen to get a word with some of the masses.

However, as four fans stood being interviewed, one suddenly stole the show in bizarre fashion live on air.

And his actions left the journalist asking the questions totally confused.

A fan wearing a red English shirt leant forward and took the full microphone head in his mouth and yelled into it.

He then moved his hand on to the base of it and began moving it before the surprised presenter grabbed it back as he laughed sheepishly before the culprit left the scene.

It did not take long for the clip to go viral, with one post on X saying: “Bro is messed up.”

A fellow fan called him the “throat goat”.

While other responses labelled him as “strange”, “bizarre” and “totally odd”.

And another said: “Love how the reporter just has no idea what to do.”

Should England get past Slovakia, they will face either Italy or Switzerland in the quarter-final.

A potential clash against the Azzurri would give the team a chance for revenge for the Euro 2020 final defeat at Wembley.

And if England get past the Italians, then it would be one of the Netherlands, Turkey, Romania or Turkey in the semi-final.
