Wizkid’s Fans Break Gate To Watch Him At O2 Arena

Fans of Grammy award nominee, Wizkid, broke through security gates on Sunday to watch the talented Nigerian singer at his concert at 02 Arena.

According to O2, fans coming to shows this week have been advised to arrive early for security checks following a review of their security procedures.

02 Arena has directed fans to show a Covid pass to enter to watch gigs at the former Millennium Dome in North Greenwich.

The fans broke through the security gate a few weeks after the deadly crush at rapper Travis Scott’s two-day Astroworld festival in Texas.

Officials of the venue that spoke with Daily Mail said some fans entered the venue, regardless of whether or not they had a ticket for Wizkid’s show.

Video spotted online showed hundreds of fans forcing their way into the venue as security guards attempted to push back.

An O2 Arena spokesman said: “This evening, a breach of the security cordon on the arena entrance occurred and as a result, several fans in the queue were able to enter the venue.

“The situation was quickly contained by staff and the incident resolved.

‘The venue is reviewing security procedures for the remaining shows this week and advises fans to arrive early for security checks tomorrow night and again on Wednesday.”
